Rose Hall Pepsi squeezes into U-19 final

Rose Hall Town Pepsi squeezed into the Carpen’s Plumbing/Spready’s Bakery under-19 final with a three-run victory over long time rivals, Tucber Park at the Area ‘H’ ground last weekend.

Tucber was routed for 97 by Rose Hall’s six-prong spin attack chasing a meager total of 100 all out in 30 overs. Javed Mohamed top scored for Rose Hall with 40 runs including five boundaries.

Bowling for Tucber, Dave Benny picked up 3-16 while Steve Sinclair and Jermain Odle finished with two wickets each for 31 and 2 runs respectively. At their turn at the crease, Tucber never recovered from a terrible start at 3-1 in only the second over of the innings. Murphy Larose took 3-8 while Damon Vantull had 2-10 with Naresh Mahadeo, Eon Hooper and Troy Mathieson taking one wicket each.

Rose Hall Town Pepsi will play the winner of the Albion vs West Berbice semi-final at a venue to be named.
