Pepsi Sonics Basketball club will host its inaugural Pepsi Sonics “Dare For More” Invitational Third Division Competition on January 28th and 29th at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
The invited teams will vie for a $35,000 top prize while second, third and fourth- placed teams will take home $15,000, $10,000 and $5,000 respectively. The Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament will receive $2,000.
A release from the club stated that the tournament will start at
4 pm both days while the final fourth round and championship round will begin at 8 pm on Sunday, January 29th at the Sports Hall.
According to the release, teams were invited from Linden, Georgetown, Berbice, West Bank, East Bank and the East Coast to participate in the tournament. Teams are reminded that registration will close on Friday.
