Barama edge Mc Doom to claim semi-final spot

Barama edged Mcdoom 42-40 on the Burnham Basketball Court yesterday to advance to the semi-final of the East Bank Basketball Tournament while Bagotstown defeated Grove 43 -33 for a semi – final spot.

Trevor Profit scored 42 points while Bryan Pearson added 13 points to lead Barama into the semi-finals. Mcdoom’s High School Basketball star, Travis Burnette had 21 points and four rebounds for the team.

Kwesi Roberts scored 11 points for Bagotstown while Darren Thomas scored 10 points. Shermon Oxford scored 10 points for Grove in game two of the double-header quarter-final showdown.

Barama will now take on Herstelling in the feature semi – final on Sunday while Prospect battles Bagotstown in game one beginning 2: 30 pm at the Burnham Basketball Court. The finals is set for the following Sunday at the same venue.
