GCA U-19 40-over cricket competition

A century from Vishal Singh led Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) to a 262-run win over the Gandhi Youth Organi-zation (GYO) in the George-town Cricket Association (GCA) under-19 40-over cric-ket competition at the GYO ground on Saturday.

The 17-year-old struck six fours and 12 sixes in his 138 as GCC piled on 322 for six from 40 overs.

Robin Bacchus supported with 41 including three fours and one six while Rayad Hamid struck two fours scoring 22 and Jeetendra Sukhdeo stroked three fours and one six contributing 21.

Phibian Joseph picked up 2-54 bowling for GYO.

GYO, in reply, were bundled out for 60 from 20 overs as off-spinner Parmanand Ramkissoon picked up four wickets for five runs. Elon Fernandes grabbed 3-18 and Hamid 2-15.
