Today’s matches of Mayor Hamilton Green’s 73rd birth anniversary inter-ward, street/village seven-a- side football tournament have been postponed because of the inclement weather organizer Lennox Arthur said yesterday.
Some 12 matches were scheduled for the Banks DIH Thirst Park ground this evening starting at 5.30pm and Arthur yesterday disclosed that the matches will now take place on December 10.
The rescheduled matches which will take place on Monday are :-BV vs. North East la Penitence, Tucville vs Goed Fortuin, Albouystown vs. Golden Grove, West Ruimveldt vs. Meeten-Meer-Zorg, Parika vs. Buxton, Laing Avenue, Kingston vs. Grove, Pouderoyen vs.Den Amstel, Tiger Bay vs. Crane, Mocha vs. Agricola, Timehri vs. Mahaicony and America Street vs. Plaisance.
Meanwhile, the tournament has received a boost with the donation of 10 pairs of football boost.
The donation was made by Ben Darrell, manager of A. H Sports of 125 Lyght Street, Alberttown .
