WPA calls on GPL to honour tribunal award

The Working People’s Alliance (WPA) yesterday condemned the refusal of the management of Guyana Power and Light Inc (GPL) to accept and implement the arbitrators’ award in the dispute it has with the National Association of Agricultural, Commercial and Industrial Employees (NAACIE) over the illegal sacking of nine of its workers.

Dear Editor, Now that a re-energized Private Sector Commission has thrown down the gauntlet against inconsiderate and indiscriminate garbage dumping by the commercial business sector, (Stabroek Business September 4) perhaps they may consider scrutinizing a worrisome culture creeping into some sectors of the entertainment industry… excessive noise.
