Two men found in Tenisha Morgan’s yard in police custody

The two men who were arrested on Friday when joint services ranks searched the Friendship home of Tenisha Morgan, yesterday remained in police custody as investigations continue into the teen’s mysterious disappearance.

Stabroek News understands that ranks raided the home and found Morgan’s birth certificate and a document belonging to her mother.

The two men who have links with the yard where the house is situated were taken into police custody shortly after.

The police have not disclosed the status of investigations into the search for Morgan. It is now two weeks since she was last seen. She is allegedly the girlfriend of Guyana’s most wanted man, Rondell ‘Fineman’ Rawlins, and was also heavily pregnant when she was last seen.

The police are still looking for a minibus driver who may have assisted Morgan in getting transportation at the Berbice bus park on the day she was last sighted.

According to reports, she had left her home for Georgetown to join relatives in Kitty. The force, in a statement, had appealed to the minibus driver who it believes assisted Morgan to help it by providing whatever information he has.

The police press release said the driver may contact the office of the Commissioner of Police through telephone numbers 225-2744 or 226 2487 -8 or the office of the Assistant Commissioner ‘Law Enforcement’ through telephone numbers 226-1326, 225-3650, 225-8196, 226-6978, 225-2227 or 225-7625.

Morgan’s disappearance had sparked concerns since the police have said that Rawlins contacted them two Fridays ago warning that he would create mayhem if she were not returned safely.

The Joint Services have since declared that they do not have the teen in their possession. In a statement, the Joint Services said thety wished to categorically say that none of its members: the Guyana Defence Force, the Guyana Police Force, the Guyana Prison Service and the Guyana Fire Service had Morgan, in their possession.
