Gunmen raid Soesdyke restaurant

Three bandits with guns yesterday robbed a Chinese businessman and two friends of a gun and $300,000 at the man’s Soesdyke restaurant before escaping.
Police in a statement said that the investigations are being carried out in relation to a robbery under arms which occurred in the early hours of yesterday at about 12:20 am at Soesdyke.

Investigations revealed that the businessman and two friends were at his restaurant when one of the men entered and placed an order. “As he was preparing the meal, the man pulled out a firearm and held him at gunpoint while his two accomplices came up and held up the two friends”, the police said.

The three bandits then took away the businessman’s licensed .32 pistol and rounds along with a cell phone and a total of $300,000 from the victims and escaped after tying them up, the statement added.
