The Mayor and City Council says it is concerned that despite sensitization campaigns it is still faced with the problem of littering.
In a press release the Council said the litter-strewn areas after the Easter holiday show that citizens continue to ignore requests to keep the environment clean. It said it is again appealing to citizens to desist from such unfriendly environmental practices. The Council urged the public to make a special effort to dispose of refuse in the bins installed throughout the city.
