LEAF fund manger to attend India business development forum

Valerie Adams-SharpeLindener Valerie Adams-Sharpe has been accepted to participate in the Eight Commonwealth Small Business Deve-lopment Programme in India from June 8-13.

In a press release the Guyana Manufacturing and Services Association (GMSA) said Adams-Sharpe is the Fund Manager of the Micro Credit Scheme of the Linden Economic Advancement Fund (LEAF), a component of the Linden Economic Advancement Programme.

The GMSA said it had recommended Adams-Sharpe to participate in the forum, anticipating that the Region Ten community would further benefit from the experience she would gain. Adams-Sharpe has experience in Micro Credit Financing and works extensively with small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and women in the region.
The GMSA said it expects that the SME Sector would become an incubator from which forward-looking, dynamic and globally competitive firms will emerge. The association is committed to supporting the creation and development of SMEs in Guyana and to continue to work very closely with LEAP in this regard.

The GMSA congratulated Adams-Sharpe and said it was looking forward to her continued interest and activity in sharing the experience for the benefit of the sector.
