Police are investigating a robbery under arms which occurred around 10:20 am yesterday.
Fidelity Investments security guard Oreth Walters and cashier Mark Rose were attacked and robbed by two men, one who was armed with a handgun. The robbery took place at the company’s business premises at High and Drysdale streets, Charlestown. Reports are that the bandits entered the premises and held Rose at gunpoint at which time he handed over $600,000 in cash. The men then took a cell phone from Walters and escaped in a motor vehicle.
