A horse cart operator, who was allegedly intoxicated, died on Monday after the he lost control of the motor cycle he was riding and crashed head-on into a wooden bridge.
Dead is Kenny Ramcharran, 18, of Anna Catherina, West Coast Demerara (WCD).
A police release said that the accident occurred around 5:30 pm on the Anna Catherina Public Road, WCD.
Investigations revealed that Ramcharran was under the influence of alcohol and riding a motor cycle when he lost control and crashed into a wooden bridge.
He suffered injuries as a result of the impact and was taken to the West Demerara Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
