Another attorney has been admitted to the Bar before Chief Justice Ian Chang.
Dylon Andray Bess was presented to the Chief Justice on October 21 by attorney-at-law Gerald Brooms.
Bess graduated from the Hugh Wooding Law School with honours after he was awarded a scholarship to attend the institution while working as a Corporate Secretary at the Guyana Lands and Surveys Commission.
Brooms while presenting the young attorney’s petition said that he had shown “the patience of Job and the resilience of Mahatma” while working at the said organisation and as such he was awarded the scholarship.
Prior to this he had read for a Bachelor of Laws degree and graduated among the top of his class at the University of Guyana. He had then pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in International Relations.
Bess said in his address to the court that he would dedicate his energies in the administration of justice and assured the court that he would not advise or assist his clients to violate the laws.
