A 41-year-old woman of Lot 36 Stanleytown, New Amsterdam had her left leg severed by a speeding motorcycle around 2 pm on Sunday.
Reports are that Sybil Moore, who is now a patient of the New Amsterdam Hospital, was crossing the road at Stanleytown when she was hit by the CBR 750, with licence plate number CD 5111. The woman’s foot was severed.
She, along with her amputated leg was rushed to the hospital where she is said to be in a stable condition.
The motorcyclist, Kemroy Hinds, 25, of 7 Savannah Park, New Amsterdam is in police custody assisting with investigations.
