PPP greets Muslims, Hindus and Christians

The People’s Progressive Party (PPP) has extended best wishes and greetings to all Muslims, Hindus and Christians in Guyana on the occasion of Youman-Nabi, Phagwah and Easter.

The party in a release also acknowledged that it is a “happy coincidence that these anniversaries which are celebrated by the three major religions in Guyana are occurring almost simultaneously.”

The PPP noted that the message of these events teaches that “we should work towards making a positive contribution to our country and to mankind generally, (and) all make the strong point that good must triumph over evil.”

And while these holidays have come at a time when diabolical criminals have unleashed brutal crimes on the society, the PPP said that the lessons from these great religions offer great hope and optimism.
