Trinidad defeats J’ca by nine wickets in Stanford twenty20 final

It was second time lucky for Trinidad and Tobago when they defeated Jamaica by nine wickets in the final of the 2008 Stanford Twenty20 cricket competition at the Stanford Cricket Ground, Coolidge, Antigua, Sunday night.

Winning the toss and opting to field first, Trinidad bowled out their opponents for a meagre 91 from 16.4 overs thanks to some wily left-arm bowling from Dave Mohammed (4-20).

They then rushed to 94-1 from 9.2 overs to gain victory and atone for their defeat in the 2006 final when they lost to Guyana in a nail biter.
