GDF supports Hugh Ross Classic

The Guyana Defence Force yesterday expressed full support for the inaugural Hugh Ross Classic bodybuilding competition, donating $150,000 to Sunday night’s event with $50,000 going to the purchase of tickets for ranks to attend the show.

Senior Officers Lieutenant Colonel Claude Fraser and Major Earl Daniels presented a cheque for the amount on behalf of the Chief of Staff Commodore Gary Best to Ross, who was accompanied by Dexter Garnett.

Colonel Fraser and Major Daniels, along with Ross, were members of 31 Special Forces Battalion. Ross was trained as an Officer Cadet and commissioned as an Officer in the GDF with current Chief Of Staff, Commodore Gary Best. (KB)
