GFF calls under-17 squad to train

The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) has called to practice a 29-member squad for Guyana’s upcoming participation in the Caribbean Football Union Youth Cup Boys under-17 Qualifiers to be hosted in Trinidad and Tobago in August.

Players from Bartica include Clive Welcome, Leroy Abrams, Hamley Martindale, Andel Norton and Lindsley Jones, while from Berbice Devon James, Kevin McCalmont and King Archer and Mark Tingoree (East Bank Demerara).

Les Charles, Treyon Hamilton, Jevon Gibson, William Europe, Keon Cappel and Runeel Gordon from East Coast Demerara, Peter Miggins, Troy LEwsis and Keon Belgrave (West Demerara), Jamal Gibbons, Sylvaun Chuck-a-Sack, Linden Benjamin, Jamal Garnett and Jermaine Batson (Upper Demerara), asnd from Georgetown: Keon Alleyne, Kevin Craig, Joshua Kamal, Oslin Robinson, Alex Murray and Marko Marcus.

According to the GFF Technical Staff, practice matches will be played from July 3-10 and the encamping of players will occur from July 10 and will go until July 24.

Charged with the job of being head coach is Lyndon France while his deputies are Bill Wilson (Development), Sampson Gilbert, Gavin Browne (Goal Keeping) and Bilaal Nantambu while Logistics Coordinator is Lawrence ‘Sparrow’ Griffith’.
