Several streets to be closed today

Several city streets will be closed to vehicular traffic today to facilitate the state funeral of former president Janet Jagan, while motorists travelling along the route to Babu John, Port Mourant, Corentyne, where she will be cremated, will experience some inconvenience.

All set for Inter-Guiana Games 2009

– New points system put in place, says Sports Director Director of Sports Neil Kumar says that all arrangements have been put in place for the upcoming Inter-Guiana Games and a new points system will replace the complicated one that was used previously.
