Pirates on the rampage again

– fishers in Berbice raided Pirates, masked and armed with guns terrorized and robbed the captains and crew members of two fishing boats on Sunday evening, carting off almost $4 million in engines, fish, gasoline and other items.

Drug seizures, charges up this year

– CANU, police have traffickers on the defensive, Rohee says The Customs and Anti-Narcotics Unit  (CANU) has reported an increase in the seizure of narcotics over the last nine months and while Home Affairs Minster Clement Rohee believes this has forced those culpable on the defensive he cautioned that there remains an ongoing battle to combat the scourge.

Farmers were awarded for having the best sheep and goats in various categories when the West Berbice Sheep and Goat Association held its annual exhibition and fair at the Bath Community Centre Ground on Saturday last.
