Colin Caesar pleaded not guilty to the charge of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking when Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton read it to him.

It is alleged that on February 7, Caesar had 173 grammes of cannabis in his possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Prosecutor Desiree Fowler stated that Caesar had been under the surveillance of the police for a while and on the day in question, police acting upon information received conducted a search on his person and uncovered the cannabis in his underwear and shoes. Cell phones were also said to have been found on Caesar.

However, Caesar’s lawyer Mortimer Coddett applied for bail for his client stating that he hoped the police had a picture of the cannabis being taken out of Caesar’s underwear.

The magistrate subsequently ordered that Caesar be remanded to prison and that he appear again in court on May 6.
