President Bharrat Jagdeo has been impersonated on the popular social networking website facebook.com, a discovery that was recently made.
A statement from the Office of the President (OP) issued yesterday said that someone has set up a profile on the website using Jagdeo’s photograph and biography. OP stressed that the President is not a subscriber to facebook.com or any other such website, and pointed out that in July last a similar discovery was made on HI5.com.
The Guyana Police Force has since been contacted to investigate the matter, and the office is urging the public to ignore the impersonation.
