Georgetown hospital relocates departments

The Georgetown Public Hospital has relocated several of its departments to facilitate construction work.

In a press release the hospital said the Gynaecology Clinic has been relocated to Ward E at the southern end of the compound; the Low Vision Centre relocated to the Multi-Purpose Room area beneath the medical library and the Public Safety Department or internal security has been relocated to the ground floor of the Administrative Building or information desk area

Additionally, the Histopathology Unit has been relocated to the former Microbiology Unit in the Central Medical Laboratory while the Microbiology Unit of the Central Medical Laboratory has been relocated to the National Public Health Reference Laboratory.

The hospital said the changes came into effect yesterday. The hospital asked for the public’s cooperation during this time and said it regretted any inconvenience caused.
