Two men, one armed with a handgun, attacked and robbed a Brazilian businessman at Bartica yesterday after posing as customers interested in selling gold.
Businessman Luiz Augusto Quadros Thoune was stripped of $150,000 by the bandits after they walked into his office and held him up at gun point.
According to a police press release, one of the men was carrying a handgun when they approached the businessman under the pretext of selling gold. The incident happened close to 1 pm at First Avenue, Bartica.
Investigations are continuing.
