Suspected Jamaica drug swallower held

A Jamaican national suspected to have swallowed a quantity of cocaine pellets was yesterday held at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri and is currently under guard at the Georgetown Hospital.

According to reports reaching this newspaper the 31-year-old man was held around 5:15 am by police ranks who noticed him acting suspiciously.
At the time of his detention the man was preparing to board a Caribbean Airlines flight to Jamaica.
Police investigations are continuing.
