The decomposing body of an elderly man was yesterday discovered in the house he occupied at Bounty Farm, Public Road Timehri, East Bank Demerara where he was employed as a security guard.
Dead is 63-year-old Ramatula Bharrat called ‘Frankie’ of Sisters Village, East Bank Berbice.
A senior police officer told Stabroek News yesterday that the discovery was made around 5.30 am in a house the man occupied at the back of the farm.
The man was found lying face up on his bed.
While there were no visible marks of violence, the officer said that a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
This newspaper was told that the man had been employed with the company for about 19 years and had been living on property for several years.
Investigations are continuing.
