Labourer denies larceny of water pump

A 35-year-old self-employed labourer yesterday pleaded not guilty to the charge of simple larceny when he appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.

It is alleged that on February 25 at Georgetown, Orlando Bristol of 426 North East La Penitence stole one water pump valued $35,000 from David Carter.

Bristol explained to the court that he never stole any water pump from the virtual complainant (VC). He lamented, “me ain’t know wah dey talking bout, dem people geh deh pump in deh yard and just accusing me wrongfully.  Dey wan see I geh lack up is just duh.”

The unrepresented Bristol was then placed on bail in the sum of $25,000 and ordered to return to court on April 8.
