Mother of three stole clothing from Fazia’s Collection

-court told

A 37-year-old mother of three yesterday pleaded not guilty to the charge of simple larceny when she appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.

It is alleged that on March 18 at Georgetown, Sharon Bristol of 22 Middle Walk, Ann’s Grove, East Coast Demerara stole two lady’s skirts and one lady’s jeans valued $10,000, property of Fazia’s Collection.

Police Prosecutor Denise Griffith told the court, however,  that “the defendant was apprehended and told the police at the time of her apprehension that she was sorry for what she had done.” The prosecutor added that the items were recovered in the defendant’s bag and are lodged at the Brickdam Police Station.

The Acting Chief Magistrate stated  that since the defendant pleaded not guilty the matter will have to go to trial.

Bristol was then placed on $10,000 bail and her matter was transferred to Court Six for April 29.
