Michelle Booker had pleaded not guilty to the charge of trafficking in narcotics. Booker, who was unrepresented in court, denied that she had over 1.9 kilogrammes of cocaine in her possession for the purpose of trafficking on April 25 at the CJIA.

The magistrate subsequently granted Prosecutor Robert Clement his request that Booker be remanded to prison and the matter be sent to the Providence Magistrate’s Court for May 4.
