The People’s National Congress Reform is calling on the authorities to conduct a thorough and professional investigation into the shooting of the Judicial Manager of CLICO (Guyana) Maria van Beek.
According to a PNCR press release, Guyana has been placed in a position where hired guns have been the order of the day; where persons who commit such crimes encounter little or no chance of being brought to justice.
The PNCR stated in the release that should it carry out its duties professionally, the Guyana Police Force has the capability to properly investigate the incident and, based on evidence, bring to justice the perpetrators of the shooting.
