Two hurt in Brickery accident

Two persons were injured in an accident on the Brickery public road, East Bank Demerara yesterday afternoon.

Wazir Hamid, 20, of Lot 3 Friendship was the driver of a car which collided with another vehicle, according to reports. He suffered head injuries and a broken right foot and was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital for treatment. He was scheduled to be admitted to the male ward.

A passenger, Umadie Ramsarran, 15, of 29 Land of Canaan also sustained injuries to her shoulder and jaw. She was also taken to the medical institution but treated and sent away. The other driver is in police custody.
