St Cuthbert’s secondary gets resident head teacher

The Ministry of Education has assigned a head teacher to St Cuthbert’s Secondary School.

According to a Govern-ment Information Agency (GINA) release, Minister within the Ministry of Education Dr Desrey Fox introduced Melanie George as the new resident headmistress at the school. George is a trained graduate teacher and her skills are expected to boost the students’ potential and impact the wider community.

In her address, Fox asked the community to reach out and partner with George for the children and the village’s benefit. She also committed to allotting a trained teacher to the staff to enhance the delivery of education.

GINA said the school has a student population of 120 and three Project Trust Volunteer teachers are currently attached to it.
