US presents medical supplies to ministry

Charge d’ Affaires of the US Embassy, Karen Williams on Thursday presented the Ministry of Health with a quantity of medical supplies such as beds, thermometers and vacuum tubing to the value of some US$50,000.

The Government Information Agency (GINA) reported  that the supplies were the remainder of the US military’s New Horizon exercise that recently visited Guyana on a humanitarian mission.

Minister within the Ministry of Health, Dr. Bheri Ramsaran said that the medical supplies received will be distributed to various health facilities across the country and he expressed gratitude for the much needed equipment.
The donation was co-ordinated through Mission Outreach, a humanitarian organization in the US and Food for Poor Guyana Inc.
