Dear Editor,
The Bureau of Standards has recently stated that it will begin to certify importers of used tyres. Is this development? In this day and age the reduction of waste, the safety of the travelling public and economic considerations such as price versus cost ought to take precedence over the mindless bureaucracy of certifying imported rubbish in our overtaxed system.
The Bureau should explain to the public what standard they are upholding by this latest certification exercise?
