Schoolchildren are blocking the road in Anna Regina

Dear Editor,
I have noticed many times, not only now, that the children of Anna Regina Multilateral School are unconcerned about how they use the road.

You can see them going along the road, especially in the afternoons when they are dismissed from school, walking four and five abreast and sometimes, six; they also form themselves into groups as well, taking up half of the road space and making it almost impossible for cyclists and others to get a clear view of the road ahead. Editor, this is an old practice these big children have been following every single school day.

The Essequibo road is not easy now, and I think this is a case where the headmaster and the police should correct the situation.
Yours faithfully,
Joe Ramroop
