Dear Editor,

Pit toilets in schools can be made safer by bolting on a funnel-shaped addition from the seat going downwards.

The end of the funnel should prevent a small child from passing through.

This funnel could be made of metal. This would facilitate the easy flow of waste. I invite other suggestions.
