Workers from the Mayor and City Council were engaged in clearing the Lamaha Embankment near Cummings Street yesterday. Residents of the embankment, some of whom had been there for decades were recently given house lots and relocated to Parfait Harmonie on the West Demerara. The embankment is to be used to run high-powered electrical cables.
