The annual general meeting of the association is set for the Thomas Lands YMCA building from10.30 and incumbent Claude Blackmore has stated that he will not be seeking re-election.

Blackmore, however, has indicated his willingness to serve on the executive in another capacity.

While Boyce is almost a shoo-in to become president, Stabroek Sport understands that the race is on for the positions of vice-president with there being some eight persons nominated.

Two persons are expected to contest the secretary and assistant secretary positions while Stabroek Sport understand that there are a large number of candidates to fill the positions of committee members.

Boyce will bring a bit of experience to the post having served with a previous executive.

The lawman was recently promoted to Assistant Superintendent of Police and heads the Guyana Police Force Sports Secretariat.
Blackmore has been president of the AAG since 1995.
