Exciting junior middleweight contender James Kirkland battles hard-hitting junior middleweight boxer Joel Julio in the main event.

Kirkland has become one of boxing’s most exciting young fighter with 15 knockouts in his last 16 fights.

He also has the enviable record of 18 knockouts coming in the first three rounds.

This does not by any chance suggest that tonight’s fight will have a quick ending as Kirkland faces a fighter that matches his skill, power and intensity.

Though just 24, Julio has already amassed 31 knockouts in 36 fights as a professional and has challenged world-class opposition.

The Colombian Julio takes on Kirkland in what should be a major test for Kirkland and the result could see the fight become a candidate for fight-of-the-year.

Local Direct TV viewers can access the action from 11pm on Channel 524.

Meanwhile Direct TV continues to provide viewers in Guyana with revolutionary coverage of sporting events through its exclusive coverage of la Liga Spanish Football, the Golf Channel and NASCAR Hot Pass.
