Kantasingh stalls Jamaica’s advance and keeps CCC competitive

KINGSTON, Jamaica,  CMC – Young left-arm spinner Kavesh Kantasingh stalled rampant Jamaica and kept Combined Campuses and Colleges competitive on a rain-hit second day of their 11th round WICB Regional four-day match yesterday.

Rain prevented any play before lunch and in the two sessions that play was possible, the Jamaicans were limited to a mere 58-run first innings lead after they appeared poised to annihilate the CCC bowlers.

Replying to the CCC’s first innings score of 171, Jamaica compiled  229 with Kantasingh grabbing four wickets.

At the close of play – extended to 6:10 pm local time in fading light — at Sabina Park, the students were 22 without loss in their second innings.
