Alfred’s five decapitates Beacon

Uprising’s Devon Alfred scored five goals as Beacon United was swamped 11-0 on Sunday at the Tucville Playfield in the Georgetown Football Association’s (GFA) Coca Cola Under-15 round robin knockout competition.
Alfred scored three times in 12 minutes while Keyson Dey scored a double.

Alfred drew first blood for his team as early as the fifth minute before recording his double in the 15th and the hat-trick in the 17th minutes.
Ezekiel Jones scored in the 20th minute and Dey in the 23rd.

The energetic Alfred went on the attack again and thumped in a 32nd minute goal giving his team a sturdy six-goal lead at lemon time.
Beacon could do nothing to prevent the leaking of goals upon resumption and Alfred continued where he left off scoring in the 39th minute to record his fifth goal.

One minute later Quincy Bobb’s goal made it 8 – 0 five minutes into the final half.
Yannick Garraway and Patrick Murray joined the goal spree with 50th and 53rd minutes’ strikes respectively while Dey recorded his double in the 52nd minute.

In other matches Renaissance defeated Sunburst Camptown 4 – 2; Santos brushed aside Flamingo 3 – 0; Georgetown Football Club (GFC) gained a walkover from Thomas United and Fruta Conquerors defeated Riddim Squad 4-2.

A second half hat-trick from Renaissance’s Selwyn Williams who scored in the 38th, 41st and 67th minutes along with a goal from Akeem Drakes in the third minute of play were enough to seal the  victory over Camptown whose two goals came from Kevin Barker (30th) and Romario Andrews (57th).
Shaquille Brown in the third, Pernell Shultz in the ninth, Dequan Van Cooten in the 48th and Brandon Joseph in the 61st scored for Fruta Conquerors while Jarrel Walcott and Jermaine Liverpool in the 7th and 23rd minutes respectively were Riddim Squad’s goal scorers.

In the Flamingo/Santos battle three first half goals in five minutes by Jerome Liddell (28th), Orin Yarde (32nd) and Michael Annibourne (33rd) were enough to get Santos past Flamingo and onto the next round.
