The Guyana Amateur Weightlifting Association (GAWA) Annual Novices and Schoolboys Weightlifting Championships will be staged tomorrow at Club Blue Note, Camp Street, from 10:00hrs.
According to a GAWA press release, admission to this event is free and a total of 23 lifters from the three affiliate gyms, Hardcore of Berbice, Barims of East Bank Essequibo and True Foundation of Georgetown, will be competing.
The GAWA in their efforts to revitalize the sport which has became dormant over the years is calling on the general public to come out in their numbers and support this event.
