GS&WCA tapeball competition….

Bank of Guyana (BOG) squeezed past Enmore to advance to the third round of the Guyana Softball and Windball Cricket Association (GS&WCA) 15/15 tapeball competition following the playoff of second round matches last weekend at the GS&WCA ground on Carifesta Avenue.

The Central Bank players were bowled out for 83 with Sugrim Ganesh top scoring with 23 while Winston Hyles supported with 16.

D. Yakub was the pick of the Enmore bowlers with three wickets. In reply, Enmore were dismissed for 82. S. Bates and Manja Persaud were defiant in scoring 21 and 17 runs respectively for the losers.
Imran Khan bagged two wickets for BOG.

Falcon also brushed aside Knight Riders by 27 runs in their second round action.
Batting first Falcon made 119 off their allotted 15 overs thanks to a half century from Azeem Azeez who scored 64 runs which included seven sixes and three fours.
Bowling for Knight Riders, G. Sookdeo captured 2-22.

Knight Riders were skittled out for 92 with Sookdeo returning to hit 23 and A. Welcome 19.
L. Massiah was the pick of the bowlers for Falcon with 3-11 while there were two wickets apiece for S. Ghanie and I.  Pooran.

Finewood Marketing Inc. also continued their impressive showing scoring a four-wicket win over Golden Achievers.

Golden Achievers were restricted to 93 for 9 off their allotted overs with A. Castillo top scoring with 45.
Finewood hit off the required runs for the loss of six wickets with W. La Rose top scoring with 22.
Kingston also got the better of GNSC by five wickets.
Scores: GNSC 98: Kingston 99 for 5.

The competition continues Sunday with two rescheduled matches; Hillfoot Strikers will come up against Park Rangers while Ghetto Stars will face Sterling Products both at 15:00 hours at the GS&WCA ground on Carifesta Avenue.
