The company was located in the immediate vicinity of the club’s training venue, the Tucville ground.

In 1999, Robert Selman, the managing director, officially sponsored the club with Fruta kits that included socks, jerseys, pants and balls.

Success that year was immediate with the club winning the National League followed by every type of football title played for in Guyana.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Mohamid, chairman of S M Jaleel and his wife Anna Mohamid and managers from all subsidiaries in the Caribbean.

At the conclusion of proceedings, treasurer of Fruta Conquerors,  Candia Shepherd presented a plaque of appreciation to Selman for the company’s dedicated sponsorship while Kurt Codogan,  the club coach presented the enterprise with one of the many trophies which the club had won at the youth level.
