Pritipaul Singh Investment won the toss and elected to bat. They made a respectable 196-9 in 25 overs with Romel Black top-scoring with 61. He was well supported by John Singh (47) and Anand Khemraj (25).
When Floodlights XI batted they were on top of the required run rate due to a good start from Abdul Sadeek (31) and Derick Ramoutar (19). Skipper Kemal Seebaran then made 10; hitting a six and a boundary in two balls to keep the tempo going.

However, it was an unbroken 130-run partnership between Ricky Deonarain, who made a blistering unbeaten 69, and man-of-the-match Patrick Khan, 40 not-out, that took Floodlights to their winning target of 197 in just 17 overs.

Mike Singh, who in his first three overs was expensive, bounced back to take 4-42 off his allotted five overs and the best bowler for Floodlights. Patrick Khan and Vicky Ramsaywack supported him with two wickets each.

The two teams hope to meet again for a rematch, at the request of Naresh Singh of Pritipaul Singh Investment.

Khan’s Trading Enterprise of Herstelling, East Bank Demerara sponsored the match.
