This year, the creativity-based competition, dubbed Facts 3, will take on a different twist from the previous years.

Not only will the student designer of the year title be up for grabs but two other luckily youths will be adjudged student model/spokesperson and student reporter.

A decision was taken this year to expand the competition which is the brainchild of local fashion designer Michelle Cole-Rose and Natasha Martindale, the owner of Guysphere.com, based on the overwhelming response it received last year.

Cole-Rose is presently abroad but her husband, creative designer Trevor Rose, told The Scene recently that applications have been pouring in and persons seem very interested as lots of comments are being left on the website.
He said that interested youths between the ages of 12 and 19 need to visit www.factssphere.com for application forms, which are to be filled out and delivered to the office by Monday.

Ten finalists will be subsequently chosen for each category of the competition.

According to Rose, the reigning student designer Sharda Eligon will present a collection of clothing that she has been working on over the last year or so, during the competition.
