The teen was not required to enter a plea to the indictable charge of murder.
It is alleged that on December 26 at Port Kaituma, she murdered Georgina John.
Prosecutor Stephen Telford stated that prior to the incident the teen and John had a problem.
He said that on the day in question the teen had been drinking when she saw John. He stated that the females soon got into an argument which resulted in John first shoving the teen who in turn pushed her back.
The prosecutor stated that the teen then took out a knife and dealt John a fatal stab wound to her upper chest.
The teen, who wore a blank expression, told the court that she did not know John and declined to say why they were arguing on the day of the incident though she stated that they did have a scuffle.
The magistrate then ordered that the case be transferred to the Matthews Ridge Magistrate’s Court for May 4.
