Beepats to give away 110 Milo-branded mountain bikes in nutrition drive

Beepats  launched a  Milo-branded   mountain bike promotion  on Friday as the first part of the company’s nutrition and health drive for 2010 in which a total of 110  bikes will be given away countrywide.

The promotion which officially got underway on Friday at the company’s  head office at 101 Regent Street is  geared at promoting  health among young adults, a news release from Beepats said.

As  part of this promotion, five students from secondary schools around Georgetown who excelled at the National 3rd Formers examination in 2009 were invited along with parents and a teacher from the respective  schools  to  a brief health talk by Nestle Caribbean Inc. (NCI) Area Manager Feroze Mohammed  and then  each student was given a Milo- branded mountain bike.

NCI Sales and Development Manager Sudesh Mahase  and Beepats, Nestle Business Manager in Guyana, Ramdat Rampersaud  as well as Beepats, Nestle Brand Manager, Selwyn Bobb were also present.

The five students participating in the launch were Adenike Carrington  (St John’s College); Daryl Watson  (Central High School); Darcy Cumberbatch  (Christ Church  Secondary); Kaycia Ellis (Bishops’ High); and  Raywantie Lall (St Stanislaus College).

The Milo bike promotion will see 20 bikes being given away fortnightly and there will be a grand draw on April 3 when 30 bikes will be given away, the release added.The students and Beepats officials can be seen in this photo
