Armed bandits yesterday robbed a Chinese businesswoman at Mc Doom, East Bank Demerara of cash, jewellery and electronics before fleeing.
According to reports from the police, around 11 am, Sui Yu Zian was sitting in her business place on the public road when two men armed with guns walked in and relieved her of a laptop computer, a DVD player, $200,000, a cellular phone as well as gold and diamond jewellery.
They then fled on foot. Police are investigating this latest armed robbery.
