A miner was shot and injured during a quarrel with an employee over money at Erickroc Backdam, Potaro, North West District (NWD) on Friday.
Police in a press release said yesterday that they were investigating the shooting incident which occurred around 16:30 hours during which Brindsley February, 37 years of Aruau, NWD was shot and injured.
Investigations revealed that February and an employee of his had an argument over money during which he was shot in his upper right hip. The suspect managed to escape while February was treated at the Mahdia Hospital and then referred to the Georgetown Hospital where he has been admitted as a patient.
